AAP
A far north Queensland man has been charged with dangerous driving after his ute crashed, killing two passengers and injuring another.
The 22-year-old was allegedly intoxicated when the ute hit a tree at Mareeba, inland of Cairns, in July last year, killing two men in their 20s and sending another to hospital.
He will face Cairns Magistrates Court on June 12 on one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death while intoxicated, police said on Wednesday.
