Qld doorknock to find hit-and-run driver

Police are appealing for anyone with CCTV or dash-cam footage to come forward in a bid to find the driver of a car that hit and killed a man.

The man aged in his 50s was struck by the vehicle while he walked home from shops in the southwest Brisbane suburb of Inala about 8.20pm on Tuesday.

He died at the scene.

Police spent Wednesday door-knocking residents in Shelduck St but so far their only lead is a light-coloured car with damage to the front passenger side.

Anyone with information or in the area at the time is asked to contact police.
