Queensland high-rise developer Susan Menso says she will fight an allegation she stalked a Workplace Health and Safety Officer.

Menso appeared briefly in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday after being charged by police in December 2017 with one count of unlawful stalking.

It is alleged Menso stalked Ian David Williamson on an unknown date between November 2015 and September 2017 at Kangaroo Point.

Outside court, Menso told reporters she would defend the allegation.

Menso, 62, is prohibited from contacting and approaching within 100 metres of Mr Williamson as part of her bail conditions.

Mr Williamson previously made a complaint that Menso and her company Z Group had breached the Workplace Health and Safety Act during the construction of a 10-storey building in South Brisbane.

The complaint was dismissed by magistrate Anne Thacker in Brisbane Magistrates Court in July 2017.

The stalking allegation has been adjourned to February 5.
