Qld cracks down on phones in parliament

Queensland's government is restricting the use of mobile phones in parliament.

Leader of the House Stirling Hinchliffe has moved a motion to say mobile devices can only be used in parliament and committees if they don't cause any visible or audible distractions.

Phone calls will be banned and phones will have to be on silent.
