Qld cops hopeful for fatality-free Easter

Police are hopeful no lives will be lost on Queensland's roads this Easter but are warning drivers to remain vigilant about their safety for the remaining hours of the holidays.

While more than 100 people have been injured on the state's roads this Easter holiday period, authorities are hoping the break will be fatality-free when it officially ends at midnight on Monday.

"So far, to date, we have not had any fatalities. However we still have some time to go," Acting Inspector Sasha Roberts said in Brisbane on Monday.
