Qld cop stood down over traffic intercept
AAP
A senior constable has been stood down from the Queensland Police Service over allegations of excessive force.
The accusations against the 45-year-old, from the southern region, stem from a traffic intercept during which he also allegedly failed to treat a member of the public with dignity and respect.
A police spokesman couldn't say when or where the intercept occurred, but a disciplinary investigation into the incident is underway.

The constable is the eighth Queensland officer to be stood down this month.
So far this year, 18 officers have been stood down or suspended from duty, according to the official Queensland police blog.
