Qld cop stood down over misconduct

A Gold Coast police officer has been stood down over allegations he used excessive force on a man in custody.
Police say the 39-year-old is the subject of an internal investigation over the alleged incident at Southport Watchhouse.
He has also been stood down from official duty and tasked with "non-operational" duties.
