Qld cop stood down over groceries theft

A Queensland police officer has been stood down for allegedly stealing groceries while off duty.

The 37-year-old senior constable, from Operations Support Command, is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on February 2 next year.

"The officer is subject of a disciplinary investigation concerning allegations she, whilst off duty, stole a quantity of groceries from a retailer," a police statement issued on Tuesday morning said.
