Qld cop stood down over alleged assault

A Queensland Police officer who allegedly assaulted someone while he was on duty has been stood down.
Police say the 58-year-old is now the subject of an internal investigation.
The sergeant is a member of the South Eastern Region, which covers the Gold Coast and Logan districts.
