Qld cop on trial for dating site rape

The trial of a Queensland police officer accused of raping a woman he met through a dating website is set to continue on Tuesday.

Kurt Nesterowich is before Brisbane District Court defending four charges, including two counts of rape, over allegations relating to visiting a woman at her home in the early hours of April 16 last year.

The jury was told he arrived drunk on the understanding that cuddling and spooning was fine, but nothing more, crown prosecutor Matthew Hynes told the court while opening his case on Monday.

Nesterowich's alleged victim had said "if you try and initiate more I'm throwing you out on your arse".

Despite the arrangement, it's alleged he attacked the woman twice, choked her three times and indecently assaulted her before being kicked out.

The court heard the policeman then sent apology texts, saying "'sorry, I genuinely wanted to cuddle".

The court heard many facts in the trial weren't in dispute and questions around consent would be central to the jury's deliberations.

The trial is expected to run for four days.
