Qld cop in court on assault charges

A policeman has appeared in court charged with assaulting a 16-year-old boy south of Brisbane.
Robert Richardson, 40, of North Lakes, is accused of attacking the teenager at Parkinson on June 6.
The senior constable's been stood down from official duty and was released on bail and ordered to appear on January 18 after facing Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday.
