Qld cop in court for alleged media dealing

A Queensland police officer has faced court accused of passing on sensitive information about a counter-terrorism raid, surveillance equipment and a murder.

Detective Bryan Anthony Swift, 50, is charged with two counts of misconduct in public office and one of communicating or publishing protected information in June 2018.

It's alleged he dishonestly dealt with information about a counter-terror raid, surveillance equipment and murder to benefit Anthony Fabris, according to court documents.

The documents did not detail specific cases Swift allegedly passed on details about.

Swift briefly appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Friday where he was bailed to reappear on January 20.
