Qld cop attacked by dog during arrest

A Queensland police officer has been injured and attacked by a dog during a violent arrest south of Brisbane.

The officer went to a home in Kingston on Wednesday night where he tried to arrest a 27-year-old man.

He had to draw his stun gun after the man became violent.

A man and a woman, both aged 50, are also alleged to have been involved in the assault.

The officer was taken to Logan Hospital where he was treated for lacerations to his arm and head.

The 27-year-old will appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Thursday on several charges including the serious assault of a police officer.

The two 50-year-olds will appear in the same court in February.
