Police are investigating how an officer came to accidentally fire his gun at a Police Remembrance Day service in southern Queensland.
The officer from the road policing command was handling his firearm when it discharged about 10am on Thursday at the service in Bundaberg, police said.
Television footage shows the officer standing beside a police motorcycle in a church car park when the gun is fired into the ground.
