Qld confidence is fine: Trad

Queensland's deputy premier Jackie Trad has hit back at claims the state government is ruining business confidence by putting too many projects on hold.

The government has come under fire in recent days after decisions to "call in" or reassess a $900m residential development in Brisbane's north, quash a $7.5 billion cruise ship terminal and defer electricity price deregulation for 12 months.

They're the latest in a string of projects the government has put on hold or reviewed, prompting Shadow Attorney-General Ian Walker to quip the Labor Government had "more reviews than Broadway".

But Ms Trad said businesses should instead look at what the government was saying "yes" to.

She listed a range of developments, including the Mount Emerald Wind Farm near Cairns and Pacific View Estate on the Gold Coast.

"Since we have come to office, the amount of projects that we have approved have amounted to some 8000 jobs in the construction phase or over 20,000 jobs full-time," Ms Trad said on Wednesday.

"So this is quite a significant achievement in only almost three months of government.

"There's a lot we're saying 'yes' to and there's some things that we're taking our time to have a look at to just cast our eyes over it."
