Qld care facility evacuated after blaze

Residents of a Brisbane care facility have been evacuated after fire took hold in the roof.

All residents were safely evacuated and no-one suffered any ill effects when a small fire broke out at the Wynnum West facility about 1.30am on Friday, but seven residents were taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital so they could be properly cared for.

Fire officers will return to the centre on Friday to determine the cause of the blaze.
