Three people have been injured in Queensland's southeast following a series of Australia Day accidents on the water.

A school-aged boy was taken to hospital after he hurt his neck diving into a river on the Sunshine Coast.

Ambulance officers were called to the Maroochy River about 1.30pm on Thursday after the boy reportedly jumped from a bridge.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman told AAP he was conscious and alert when officers arrived and was taken to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition.

A man in his 20s was hospitalised after a jetski incident off Main Beach on the Gold Coast.

Ambulance officers were called to the area after he complained of back pain. He was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

A teenage girl has also been taken to Ipswich Hospital after falling off a rope swing in a creek at Fernvale, west of Brisbane.

Ambulance officers were called just before midday and she was taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries.
