Qld bikie raids net steroids, drugs, cash

Widespread raids across southeast Queensland targeting bikies have uncovered almost 200 steroid vials, drugs and cash.

Police say 10 premises were searched, including a supplement store in Daisy Hill and the homes of people linked to the Lone Wolf outlaw motorcycle gang.

The raids saw detectives seize 196 vials of steroids, 57 ecstasy tablets, cannabis, $3600 in cash and other drug paraphernalia.

Seven people - two women and five men aged between 20 and 32 - were charged with 37 offences, including producing and possessing dangerous drugs, and failing to dispose of syringes.

Detective Inspector Brendan Smith says the raids show the extent of criminal activity bikie gangs are involved in.

"Often these drugs are homemade or supplied without medical supervision which could have lasting impacts on the user's health," Det Insp Smith said.

"It is also important the community understands that unlawful possession of steroids is a criminal offence and is treated in the same manner as other drug offences.

"They should not believe propaganda suggesting otherwise."
