Man charged over abduction of three-year-old Queensland boy

Police in Queensland have charged a man after an alleged abduction of a three-year-old boy in Hope Island yesterday.

Police will allege a man was seen taking the young boy known to him from a business on Halcyon Way and putting him into a car at around 3.20pm.

Just before 9.30pm Queensland Police confirmed the child had been found by officers and thanked the public for their assistance.

Today, a 33-year-old Commbabah man was charged with child stealing, enter premises and commit indictable offence and contravention of a domestic violence order.

He will appear in Southport Magistrates Court today.
