Pregnant woman goes missing in Brisbane

A pregnant woman has gone missing on her way to a Brisbane train station.

Maria Formentera, 29, was last seen leaving a London Street home at 3.30pm (AEST) on Wednesday on her way to Nundah train station less than a kilometre away.

She was expected to catch a train to Fortitude Valley, but never did.

"Police and family are concerned for Ms Formentera's welfare as this is out of character," a police spokesman said.

Ms Formentera is Asian, about 153cm tall, pregnant and has black hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a floral dress with beige thongs and was carrying a black handbag.
