Police shut down underage north Qld party
AAP
An out-of-control party with hundreds of rowdy, drunken teenagers has been shut down in north Queensland.
Police say they found about 200 teenage revellers when they arrived at Cook St in Atherton on Saturday night after reports of underage people drinking alcohol.
"Initial investigations suggest organisers had charged an admission fee, however there was no supervision or security to ensure those underage did not consume liquor," police said in a statement on Sunday.
