Man in custody over Brisbane shooting

A man is in custody over the shooting of another man in Brisbane's southern suburbs.

A 38-year-old Sunnybank Hills man was shot in the head and stomach at a unit complex on Logan Rd, Holland Park West just before 9.50pm on Saturday, police say.

He remains in a stable condition at Princess Alexandra Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A 32-year-old Carina man was arrested at an address in Hawthorne about 2pm on Sunday and is being interviewed by detectives.

Police say the incident was not random and it is believed the pair were known to each other.
