Man questioned after Queensland stand-off

A man involved in a stand-off with police after a failed carjacking northwest of Brisbane has been found hiding in bushes.

The man armed himself with a hammer following the attempted carjacking at Toogoolawah on Friday morning, before locking himself inside a vacant home.

Police established a 500m exclusion zone around the property, and at about 4pm arrested the man in nearby bushland.

No one was injured in the incident, and the man is now being questioned by police.
