Police investigate fire at Qld high rise

Police are investigating a suspicious fire at an eight-level apartment complex in Brisbane.

Firefighters and police were called to the blaze at Chermside on Monday night after reports that scaffolding shade cloth around the exterior of the building's fourth and fifth floors was ablaze.

A police spokesman says the building was vacant and nobody was hurt.
