Police hunt north Queensland fuel thieves

Thieves have stolen 1500 litres of diesel from three cattle trucks at a far north Queensland property.

The culprits siphoned the fuel at a property at Evelyn, southwest of Cairns, some time between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, police said.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses who may have seen vehicles towing a fuel trailer, fuel tank or a large number of drums.
