Police hunt for arsonist in central Qld

Police are hunting for a man following machete and arson attacks north of Rockhampton.
The man escaped a police chase on Sunday after he was found lighting fires in bush near a campground at Waterpark Creek, Byfield.
It's believed he then invaded a home and threatened a man with a machete before stealing his car, police said on Monday.
