Police car rammed on Gold Coast

A police car has been rammed after officers tried to box in a stolen car spotted queuing for food at a Gold Coast drive-through.

Three people who were in the car are facing drug and other charges after the stolen vehicle was allegedly reversed into another car behind, before being driven at a police vehicle positioned to block any escape.

Police involved in the intercept at Runaway Bay on Thursday night say they found a knife and drugs in the car. Two men and a woman will front the Southport Magistrates Court on Friday.
