Plane encounters landing gear issue in Qld

A Qantas Dash 8 plane that turned around mid-flight has landed safely at Townsville Airport.
Emergency services were put on standby after the Cloncurry bound plane, which had 31 people on board, experienced a problem with landing gear on Wednesday morning.
The plane is being checked by engineers, a Qantas spokeswoman said.
