AAP
A man accused of robbing and smashing the door of a Queensland pharmacy with a pitchfork has been taken into custody ahead of a court appearance.
The 36-year-old demanded prescription drugs from an employee of a pharmacy at Palmwoods in the Sunshine Coast hinterland while armed with the pitchfork on Saturday afternoon and after snatching boxes of drugs smashed the shop's glass door before trying to run away, police allege.
He was stopped by members of the public in a nearby street and later charged with offences including armed robbery.
