Pedestrian killed walking on Qld highway

A pedestrian has been killed while walking on the Pacific Motorway south of Brisbane.

Police say the man was walking in a southbound lane of the highway at Beenleigh about 2.30am on Sunday when a car hit him.

The driver of the car was not injured.

Police closed a section of the highway while forensic officers investigated, but it has since reopened.
