Truck driver killed stepping out of vehicle on south Queensland motorway

A truck driver has been killed on a major motorway south of Brisbane after pulling over and getting out of his cab.

The 34-year-old Lowood man was hit by another truck on the Logan Motorway at Drewvale around 12.40pm on Tuesday.

Police are investigating and the male driver of the other truck is assisting officers with their enquiries.

The motorway was closed for three hours while emergency services responded to the incident, causing heavy delays for motorists on both the Logan and Gateway motorways.
