Palmer still listed as LNP life member

Clive Palmer is still being honoured as a life member of Queensland's Liberal National Party despite quitting nearly two years ago.

The Palmer United Party leader became a bitter enemy of the LNP not long after Campbell Newman became premier.

He's labelled Treasurer Tim Nicholls and Deputy Premier Jeff Seeney "crooks" and filed defamation suits against Mr Newman and Mr Seeney.

Despite public slanging matches, Mr Palmer was still listed as a life member in the LNP's annual report, circulated at the party's state conference in Brisbane this week.

A spokesman from the LNP says it's an oversight.

"An out-of-date list of Life Members was inadvertently inserted in the production of Annual Report with 2013 additions included," he told AAP.

"The error was not picked up in the editing process."

Mr Palmer, who was once a major donor of the LNP, laughed off the mistake.

"They probably want to keep holding on to me," he told Fairfax Media.

"It's just wishful thinking isn't it?"
