Palmer loses bid to stall QN case

The Federal Court has rejected another attempt by Clive Palmer to stall the onging probe into his doomed Queensland Nickel.

Mr Palmer again sought an adjournment of his summons on Monday, with his barrister arguing that an application for a stay of proceedings had been filed in the High Court less than half an hour ago.

The registrar refused to make orders for a two-week adjournment, saying he didn't think the circumstances had substantially changed since last week.

Mr Palmer last week made a similar attempt to stall the case.

General purpose liquidators, as compared to special purpose liquidators, are empowered to quiz Mr Palmer in the future.
