Palm Island woman stabbed during fight

A Queensland woman has been charged after she allegedly stabbed another woman during a fight on Palm Island.

A 24-year-old woman was taken to Palm Island Hospital with three small stab wounds after officers were called to reports of a disturbance on Farm Road on Sunday, police say.

A 43-year-old Palm Island woman was arrested and charged with unlawful wounding and possession of a knife.

She is due to appear at the Townsville Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
