Palaszczuk sends Baird Maroons jersey

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk is sending a Maroons State of Origin jersey to her NSW counterpart so he can wear it in parliament for a day.

Ms Palaszczuk says Mike Baird must don maroon because he lost a bet with her; the premiers had agreed the loser of the Origin series would wear the winner's jersey.

"He lost the bet, so there you go, it will be in express post mail, and he will be wearing this jersey," an overjoyed premier said while holding up a Queensland jersey.
