Pair survive car plunge off Qld bridge

Two people have managed to free themselves from a car that plunged off a bridge and into a river north of Brisbane.

The vehicle hit the water and overturned just after 11pm at Kurwongbah.

Both people, aged in their 20s, were able to pull themselves free from the car and were taken to hospital with chest and abdominal pain and minor cuts.
