Pair questioned after bloodied woman found

Police are questioning two people after a bloodied woman was found in bushland on the Gold Coast.

Her discovery came after police allegedly saw a man assaulting a woman in a vehicle at Carrara on Wednesday morning.

Police say the vehicle failed to stop for officers, who later found it in a nearby street, where they arrested the male driver, 33, and a woman, 30.

A 55-year-old woman, who was photographed covered in blood while emerging from bushland with police, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to her arms and face.

Police say a large stash of cash and drug utensils was found in the vehicle.
