Pair forced to jump to flee Brisbane fire

Two people have had to jump from a second storey window to escape a house fire on Brisbane's northside.

A firefighter called to the burning Aspley home managed to break the fall of one of the occupants as they leapt to safety just after midnight.

Firefighters say the pair was lucky to have escaped without injury. The fire left the house badly damaged.
