Officer kicked in throat in Qld arrest

A police officer has been kicked in the chest and throat while trying to arrest a man who allegedly attacked a woman at a Brisbane home.

Police found the woman with minor injuries after being called to a Stafford home on Sunday night. When they tried to enter the property, a man inside turned on one officer, violently kicking him.

The man also tried to barricade himself in the home but police managed to arrest him. He'll front the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday charged with serious assault and deprivation of liberty.
