A 25-year-old New South Wales man has been charged with armed robbery following a carjacking in Brisbane.

Queensland Police allege he forced a 60-year-old man from his car at knifepoint at Corinda on Tuesday and drove it to Ipswich where it was later involved in a crash at an intersection.

Police also alleged the same person was involved in a failed carjacking around the same time.
