North Queensland cop stood down for lying

A north Queensland cop has been suspended from official duty over allegations he refused to report a serious crime and inappropriate management of an informant.
The 48-year constable is also alleged to have failed to obey directions from a senior officer.
He is a member of the Northern Region, which stretches from Cape York to Mount Isa and Townsville.
