Man found dead following explosion in Mackay industrial site
A man has died in an explosion at an industrial site in Mackay overnight.
Police and fire crews were called to a Malcolmson Street trailer manufacturing business just after 2am following reports of an explosion.
The noise was reportedly so loud it woke residents nearby.

Police found a 30-year-old man dead at the scene and established a crime scene.
Senior Sergeant Dave Parnell said fire investigators would arrive on the scene later today in a bid to determine the cause of the blaze.

“The container doors have been opened as a result of the fire and the combustion and there appears to be a fair bit of probably household or items in the container,” he said.
