New Racing Qld chair appointed

Businessman Steve Wilson has been appointed as Racing Queensland's interim chair.

Racing Minister Grace Grace says his immediate task will be to oversee the recruitment of a permanent Racing Queensland chief executive.

Mr Wilson will be joined by three interim chairs for the three racing codes - thoroughbred, harness and greyhound - with the government planning to appoint a full board once the Queensland Racing Integrity Bill is passed in state parliament.
