Mum to face trial for punching baby girl

A woman has been ordered to stand trial for punching her baby girl in the face as she lay crying in her pram.

The woman, who can't be named, was committed stand trial after a hearing in the Townsville Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

The baby suffered three bruises in the alleged assault, which happened as she and her mother were out walking in the Townsville suburb of North Ward January 18, 2014.
