Mum and son fire victims to be farewelled

A Queensland mother and son who died in a home unit fire south of Brisbane will be farewelled in a public memorial service.

Crystal Cartledge, 30, and her three-year-old son Baileigh both died when fire destroyed their Beenleigh unit last week.

The boy's father, one-year-old sister and five-year-old brother all survived with injuries.

A public memorial service will be held on Wednesday in Beenleigh followed by a private cremation.
