Motorcyclist killed after avoiding roo

A motorcyclist who swerved to avoid a kangaroo has been killed after hitting an oncoming vehicle on Queensland's Bruce Highway.

Police say the 50-year-old man died at the scene of the crash on Tuesday night, about 10km north of Marlborough.

The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were taken to Rockhampton Hospital for observation.
