Motorcyclist dies in Qld accident

A motorcyclist has died after crashing down an embankment on the Gold Coast.

Paramedics were called to Beechmont Road, Beechmont, just after 11.30am on Saturday.

A man believed to be in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three fire trucks also attended, a Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said.

Authorities are urging motorists to avoid the area as the forensic crash unit investigates.
