More wild weather set to lash south-eastern Queensland
A severe storm warning has been issued for south-east Queensland. (BoM radar at 5.45pm)
Queenslanders have been told to brace for damaging winds and heavy rain as a thunderstorm approaches.
The severe conditions expected to arrive in the next few hours may trigger flash flooding, the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) warned.
BoM advised Brisbane, Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Maroochydore, Stanthorpe, Kingaroy, Caboolture, Goondiwindi and Dalby may be affected by the wild weather.
Many people have taken to social media to capture a heavy band of dark grey clouds approaching this afternoon.
“And the storm rolls in,” Facebook user Laura Gray captioned a photograph taken at Kings Beach on the Sunshine Coast.
Earlier this week, the south-east of the state endured brutal winds during a summer storm.
A man captured video of his car being rattled as the storm moved through the rural town of Toogoolwah.
"MY CAR IS SHAKING 130km/h winds!!!", the post was captioned.
