Severe storm warning for southeast Qld

Severe thunderstorms with possible damaging winds and large hail are expected to hit southeast Queensland on Friday afternoon.
The Bureau of Meteorology issued a weather warning for an area, including Brisbane, stretching from north of Gympie to the NSW border.
The most severe cell is set to pass over Somerset Dam at around 4pm before heading towards Moreton Bay.

The warning comes after an intense electrical storm hit Brisbane on Thursday night, providing a striking light show for residents.
