Missing kayaker's body found in Qld dam

The body of a man who went missing after his kayak capsized in a Queensland dam has been found.

Police divers recovered his body in Eungella Dam, west of Mackay, on Monday evening.

The 49-year-old had been kayaking with a woman on Saturday afternoon when the vessel overturned and sank.

The woman managed to swim to safety.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
